Manufacturing Methods : (a) 1,4-Dihydroxyanthracene-9,10-dione under pressure and Ammonium hydroxide and Sodium dithionite condensation, then in 1,2-Dichlorobenzene and1-Nitrobenzene mixture will be 1,4-diamino-anthracene-10-diol oxidation; (b) 1,4-diamino-anthracene-10-diol in sulfuric acid with chloride for oxidation.
Properties and Applications:brilliant purple. Soluble in acetone, ethanol, benzene and linseed oil. In concentrated sulfuric acid to dark brown lightyellow, shallow color after diluted. Used for alcohol, esters solvent, ethylene, alkyd resin, cellulose acetate paint.
